San Salvador is an island so all its consumer goods have to be shipped here. This makes goods such as meat expensive so we pack a soft cooler with meat for the barbeque right before we leave for the island, this has worked out great for us.

Bug Off!! like all Caribbean Islands San Salvador does have Mosquitoes and No-See-Ums which predominantly come out in the early mourning and at dusk. Bring Insect Repellent to buy and keep the screen doors closed!

Although you can do your shopping in Cockburn (pronounced Co-burn) where there are several grocery stores. The White and Yellow building in this shot is Russels, you can also shop at Dorette's and LLLLLLLLL.
